The Day Of The Doctor To Be Simulcast In At Least 75 Countries

And the amazing announcement is... The Day of the Doctor is to be broadcast simultaneously in atleast 75 different countries in six different continents!!

BBC Worldwide have also announced that the 75-minute special will be shown in various cinemas in the UK and in various other countries.

CEO of BBC Worldwide Tim Davie comments: “Few TV shows can still lay claim to being appointment viewing but Doctor Who takes this to another level. In its 50^th Anniversary year we wanted to create a truly international event for Doctor Who fans in as many countries as possible and the simultaneous broadcast and cinema screening of the special across so many countries will make for a fitting birthday tribute to our Time Lord.”

Showrunner and executive producer Steven Moffat adds: “The Doctor has always been a time traveller - now he's travelling time zones. On the 23rd of November, it won't be the bad guys conquering the Earth - everywhere it will be The Day of the Doctor!”

More Info On The Day Of The Doctor!

As well as uploading this image, the BBC have revealed various details regarding the 50th anniversary special The Day of the Doctor...

Before and after Atlantis on BBC One at 8:25pm tonight, there will be 'stings' for The Day of the Doctor that reveal the ident which will be used for the episode as well as a Twitter hashtag which we will soon be familiar with.

They also confirmed that a trailer has been specially written and shot and it will be released soon.

More information coming soon.

UPDATE: BBC One have confirmed that tonight's stings will feature no footage from The Day of the Doctor trailer and will just be the official hashtag and the new graphic for the 50th anniversary.

2013 Christmas Special - Filming Pictures

We now have some pictures from the filming of the 2013 Christmas special! This episode will mark Matt Smith's final regular appearance and will more than likely feature a minute or two of Peter Capaldi's Doctor.

Doctor Who: The Complete Seventh Series DVD - Limited Edition TARDIS Packaging

If you're not a fan of the regular packaging of the complete seventh series DVD box set, you might prefer this limited edition version featuring the TARDIS. At £43.99 it's a lot more expensive than the regular version, but if you're rich, then why not get it?

Destiny Of The Doctor 11: The Time Machine Cover Revealed

The cover for the eleventh audiobook adventure in the Destiny of the Doctor series has been revealed, and here it is!

The story is called The Time Machine, is written by Matt Fitton and will be read by Jenna Coleman who plays Clara Oswald in Doctor Who. It will also feature Nicholas Briggs and Michael Cochrane.

It will be released in November and will be the final Destiny of the Doctor audiobook. You can pre-order it here.

Doctor Who: Series 7 DVD & Blu-Ray Box Sets Now Available To Pre-order On Amazon

The Doctor Who: The Complete Seventh Series DVD and Blu-Ray box sets are now available to pre-order from Amazon. The box sets feature 15 episodes (The Doctor, the Widow & the Wardrobe to The Name of The Doctor) along with some great special features. They will be released on 28th October in the UK and 24th September in the US.

UK Release Of Series Seven DVD Box Set Will Include The Doctor, The Widow And The Wardrobe!

The BBC have announced that the UK release of the Doctor Who Series Seven DVD and Blu-ray box set will include the 2011 Christmas special: The Doctor, the Widow and the Wardrobe despite previous reports claiming the episode will not be part of the set. This means the box set will include fifteen episodes rather than the usual fourteen.

Unfortunately Doctor Who Confidential was cancelled after Series 6 so we can't have that on the set, but the huge amount of special features more than make up for it! (Loads of prequels, behind the scenes, stuff like Pond Life and Doctor Who at Comic Con, Audio commentaries for certain episodes, etc.)
