Doctor Who Goes Anime & I Think I Like It. As Long As It Ends Here.

I’m not quite sure how to respond to this anime take on Doctor Who that quite perfectly makes fun of anime, Doctor Who & YouTube.

It’s probably the best thing I’ve seen all week.

Doctor Who: Terror Of The Zygons DVD Details

The details for the Terror of the Zygons DVD have been revealed. This will be the last normal classic DVD release (other than animated lost episodes, special editions, etc.) and will be released 30th September in Region 2 countries and 8th October in Region 1 countries.

Here is the BBC's sypnosis of the story:

"Returning to Earth, the Doctor, Sarah and Harry arrive in the Scottish Highlands to investigate the mysterious destruction of several oil rigs in the North Sea. Local superstition speaks of a deadly threat that lurks in the mists on Tulloch Moor, but the truth is even more disturbing: the legendary Loch Ness Monster is a terrifying cyborg beast which is controlled by the Zygons, an advanced alien race who are desperate to ensure their own survival, at any cost..."

Doctor Who: The Ice Warriors DVD - Final Cover Art

It turns out that the cover for the upcoming DVD release of The Ice Warriors will feature blue as the main colour rather than the original pink. Personally I think the blue cover looks much better, but what do you think?

This DVD will be released on the 26th August.

Doctor Who: Scream of the Shalka DVD Details

The 2003 animated webcast: Scream of the Shalka starring Richard E. Grant as The Doctor is to be released on DVD 16th September in Region 2 countries and 17th September in Region 1 countries. As for Region 4, the release date is currently unknown.

Here is the official sypnosis for the story:

"The TARDIS lands in a small English village in 2003, where the population are living in fear from a malevolent alien force. With the help of UNIT and his new friend Alison, the Doctor discovers that a race called the Shalka are residing underground, preparing to strip away the earth’s ozone layer and embark on a full-scale invasion of the planet…"
